Scent:  Sweet, powerful lemony scent

Source:  aerial parts of the grass 

Uses:    Famous for its ability to repel insects and its pungent aroma, Citronella can also be used as a powerful cleanser or a natural deodorant.   Good in blend for soaps and perfumes and for scenting rooms.  5 drops of the EO in an ounce of vinegar as a wash for counters and countertops.

Cautions:  Not for use during pregnancy.  May cause skin irritation in those with sensitive skin.  Can be harmful to mucus membrane.

Blends well with:  Citrus oils, peppermint, eucalyptus, cedarwood.
