Uses:  Helichrysum italicum is also known as Everlasting or  Immortelle.  The plant produces an oil from its blossoms, which is used for medicinal purposes.  One of the most useful and important oils in aromatherapy.  A must to have on hand for pain relief, bruising–injuries in general.  It is anti-inflammatory, fungicidal and astringent.  Helichrysum  has potent antispasmodic properties and is very useful for pain, muscle aches and spasms, inflammation and promoting wound healing.   Use Helichrysum to enhance any pain relief blend including arthritis, tendonitis, back and neck pain, even carpal tunnel syndrome.

Helichrysum is known for its effectiveness as an anti-depressant, freshening both the mind and body.

Cautions:  Keep away from children.  Avoid sensitive areas–ears and eyes.

Blends well with: Bergamot, black pepper, german chamomile, clary sage, geranium, lavender, lemon, pine, rose otto, ylang ylang essential oils.
