Source: Resin. Small stunted tree growing wild in various parts of Aftica. Incisions made in the bark cause the exudation of oleo-resin. Sold as tears and distilled elsewhere.
Uses: A powerful scent used in spiritual work and to excite the upper Chakras. Physically, Myrrh is often used for colds and coughs, eczema, ringworm and gum infections. Uplifts and revitalizes while soothing nervous tension. Centering, visualizing and meditative effect. An ancient balsam used for thousands of years. Forms a very valuable modern ingredient in perfumes. Resin is a fixative. Antiviral, hormone like, moderates the thyroid, an aphrodisiac. Indicated for: Dysentery, hyperthyroid, and to calm sexual excitement.
Blends well with Essential Oils: Clove, lavander, patchouli, sandalwood.
